Whey Protein With The Highest Protein Per Serving

Whey Protein With The Highest Protein Per Serving

If you are looking for whey protein with the highest protein per serving, you have come to the right place. All you have to do is hop on Amazon to realize that the amount of options can be overwhelming.

Over my many years in fitness, I have tried probably over 50 protein powders. Now I only alternate between 2-3 protein powders in a year. And that is only because I like to switch the flavors up.

My point here is that there are so many different protein powders on the market. But you might find that a lot of them lack flavor or just don’t have enough protein content in them.

Before we get started on our list, I recommend downloading our app All Workouts: Personal Trainer (iOS | Google Play). Your dream body is not something that should be taken lightly. Our FREE workout plans will get you where you want to go.

Using your whey protein in the best way

I used to think that just drinking a protein shake every day was enough. I also thought that maybe if I found the right whey protein with the highest protein per serving, that I would magically build muscle.

It doesn’t work like that. They are called supplements for a reason, and if you don’t know how many calories you are eating, you are doing yourself a disservice. I spent many years falsely thinking that I was eating enough calories.

I would workout 5-6 times per week, yet I wouldn’t gain any muscle. It turns out that you need to be in a caloric surplus to build muscle. Let me put that into perspective. You cannot build muscle while in a caloric deficit.

Do yourself a favor and learn how to calculate your maintenance calories. From here, you can learn how to supplement properly with whey protein powder.

Another thing that I want to mention is that you can make your own custom shakes with protein powder as an additive. Personally, I make a 1000 calorie protein shake every morning. Only about 30% of the calories in that shake come from the protein powder in it.

The rest of the calories comes from milk, peanut butter, bananas, strawberries, and MCT oil. If you are looking to bulk up, this is a great way to do it. Combining all of the ingredients together will help digest the protein better as well.

Best whey protein powders with the highest protein per serving

As I mentioned in the introduction to this article, one search on Amazon will bring you an absurd amount of options when it comes to protein powders. You will find many in the 18-24 grams per serving range.

But which whey protein has the highest protein per serving? Here is the thing. I am sure that you can find an ever growing amount of protein powders with massive amounts of protein per serving, but I chose only the best ones with good reputations.

One thing I want to note before we get into this list. The serving size differs on each one of these powders. Some are 2 scoops, and some are 1 scoop. Really what it comes down to is the amount of grams per serving.

So be sure to get yourself a digital kitchen scale to make sure that you know exactly how much you are putting in your body.

1. Body Fortress Super Advanced Whey Protein (60 grams)

Body Fortress Whey Protein With High Protein Content

60 grams of protein per serving! Is that enough whey protein for you? I do find it interesting that they advertise that it is 60 grams per serving, which is 2 scoops. Yet they give you the option to choose 1 scoop, or 30 grams of protein.

If you are going to do the full 2 scoop serving, you are going to be consuming 98 grams of powder. So be sure to weigh it out instead of relying on the accuracy of the scoop.

For each one of these protein powders, I am going to do some math for you. How many grams of protein per 100 grams of powder?

In this case, it would be about 61.2 grams of protein for every 100 grams of the powder.

2. Muscle Milk Genuine Whey (32 grams)

Must Milk Whey Protein Highest Per Serving

Muscle milk was the first protein powder that I ever tried. When I first tried it, I said I was going to drink this for the rest of my life. Eventually, I became too accustomed to the flavor and I had to move on.

One thing that muscle milk is great at is providing high quality flavors with high quality whey protein. Let’s keep in mind that when I first tried muscle milk, the only 2 flavor options were vanilla and chocolate. Now you can get cake batter, cookies and cream, and much more.

Ok, so it is 32 grams per serving, right? But how many grams of protein per 100 grams of powder? Since 1 serving contains 70 grams of powder, 32 grams of that being protein, let’s do some math.

32/70 = .457 *100 = 45.7 grams of protein per 100 grams of protein powder.

3. Vital Performance Protein Powder (25 grams)

Vital Proteins Highest Protein Per Serving

If you ever decide to look at my 1000 calorie protein shake recipe, you will discover that this is the protein powder that I use. In fact, to this day I still drink this exact recipe every single morning.

A lot of people ask me why I don’t just eat a normal breakfast. Mainly because I cannot eat 1000 calories in the morning. And if I tried to, I physically wouldn’t be able to. Drinking a shake really helps me hit my calorie targets for the day.

So, you might be wondering why I put a protein powder on here that is 25 grams per serving. Well, it is because per 100 grams of powder, this protein powder has the highest protein per serving out of any on the list.

A regular serving size contains 25 grams of protein in 36 grams of powder. Meaning there isn’t much filler here.

So if we do our math, we discover that for every 100 grams of powder, there is actually 69.44 grams of protein!

Ultimately, this is why I drink this protein powder every morning. It is one of the cleanest powders I have found, and they are straightforward with the labelling.

Main Point: Whey protein with the highest protein per serving

We learned something very important today. Just because you find a whey protein with the highest protein per serving does not mean that it is the most effective.

What is more important is the overall grams of protein per 100 grams of powder.

You are going to encounter all sorts of companies that boast that they have a TON of protein per serving. But be sure to look at the serving size and how many servings there are per container.

That is ultimately going to be the true test to determine if a protein powder is worthy of a purchase.

Remember, that protein powder is just a supplement. Don’t think that you are going to just drink a shake and magically build muscle. If building muscle is your goal, you need to eat at a caloric surplus, and workout 3-4 days per week.

As I mentioned in the intro, our app would be a great start for workout plans and direction.
